Picture of a 300 meter compound wall on the water front at Government Girls Higher Secondary school ,Cuddalore Port.This is part of the repair and refurbishing of schools which is in progress in 5 schools at Nagapatinam District and 6 schools in Cuddalore District.

Livelihood assitance...we have ordered for 10 fibre glass boats with motor and nets for Singarathope village in Cuddalore district.Each boat will be shared by 5 families.

Report from Kanyakumari District
Total number of villages affected-73 villages
Supplementary Feeding Centers for infants and young children have been set up in 3 villages for providing milk and weaning food for babies and milk and nutritious meals for older children.
Counseling and support services for children.
A team of 6 trained staff are counseling and identifying children who need specific assistance.
Sponsorship and Family Support
Our staff are identifying orphans, single parent children, and children at risk, who need financial support to stay with their families and continue their education. We believe this program will prevent trafficking, child labour and school dropouts. As of this date our resources permit us to sponsor 300 children

A free telephone helpline to assist children in distress has been established at district headquarters, Cuddalore town, with a sub center at Paringipettai.
A team of 12 trained staff are counseling and identifying children who need specific assistance.
Recreational programs were arranged as part of counseling therapy. Five hundred children from Devnampatnam, Singarthope & Cuddalore Port were entertained with a Magic show, Meet Mickey Mouse program, which included interactive sessions and individual photo keepsakes, lunch and gifts.
