Report from Kanyakumari District

Total number of villages affected-73 villages

Supplementary Feeding Centers for infants and young children have been set up in 3 villages for providing milk and weaning food for babies and milk and nutritious meals for older children.

Counseling and support services for children.
A team of 6 trained staff are counseling and identifying children who need specific assistance.

Sponsorship and Family Support
Our staff are identifying orphans, single parent children, and children at risk, who need financial support to stay with their families and continue their education. We believe this program will prevent trafficking, child labour and school dropouts. As of this date our resources permit us to sponsor 300 children


Repairing & Refurbishing Schools
Outdoor play equipment is being provided for 4 schools

Nagapattinam District

Livlihood Assistance
Chinoorpettai, with a population of 248 persons was totally devastated and cut off from the rest of Nagapatinam District. After discussion with the community leaders we have placed orders for fish nets worth Rs 18,00,000 which will be supplied by next week.
